Norma Curry

Norma Jean Curry, 81, of Pleasant Hill, was born, June 18, 1934, in Kansas City, the daughter of Earl and Mary (Howard) Gibbons. She departed this life Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital - East, Lee's Summit.

In 1951, she was united in marriage to Clyde E. Curry in Sedalia.

She was employed as a Clerk for the U.S. Department of Agriculture retiring in 1991. She loved sewing and Crappie fishing. She was a wonderfuy wife and mother.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert L. "Bob" Gibbons.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde of Pleasant Hill; two sons, Dennis of Curry of Pleasant Hill, and David (and Kristy) Curry of Lake Lotawana; two grandchildren, John Curry of Raytown, and Michelle Quinter of Harrisonville; one great grandchild, Paige; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded. No services are scheduled at this time.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
