Norma Reinert

NORMA J. REINERT

Norma Jean Reinert, 93, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born, October 1, 1927, in Viola, Arkansas, the daughter of Claude W. and Opal R. (Foster) Richardson.  She departed this life, Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at her home surrounded with love and family.

Norma was a 1946 Kansas City Northeast High School graduate.

On September 7, 1960, she was united in marriage to Robert Eugene Reinert in Kansas City, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on October 28, 2002.

Norma was a homemaker.  She was an active member of the Red Hat Society.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and a good garage sale.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Laveda Williams.

She is survived by one daughter, Brenda (and Donnie) Smith of Eudora, Kansas; one son Ken (and Joy) Reinert of Skiatook, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Amanda (and Scott) Tice, Derrick (and Amanda) Smith, Nolan (and Alex) Smith, Joseph (and Robbie) Jenkins, Matthew Jenkins, Nalesh (and Bradley) Finn; eleven great grandchildren, one brother, James “Causby” Richardson of Warsaw, Missouri; two sisters, Janie Hiller of Camdenton, Missouri, and Nadine Neuffer of Naperville, Illinois; other relatives and friends.

Private graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in the Floral Hills East Cemetery, Lee’s Summit.  Reverend Phillip Scott officiated.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the V.F.W. Post #3118 Veteran’s Relief fund or Crossroads Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
