Patricia Sudhoff

Patricia Louise “Mago” Sudhoff, 93, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born October 11, 1928, in Richmond, Indiana, the daughter of Harry Andrew and Minnie Gertrude (Rhodes) Darnell.  She departed this life, Sunday, November 28, 2021, at her home surrounded with love and family.

Pat was a 1946 Richmond High School graduate.

On August 20, 1950, she was united in marriage to Robert H. Sudhoff in Richmond. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2017.

Pat was a Homemaker extraordinaire.  While her children were growing up, she supported and was active in all their many activities.  Many games and events were held under the watchful eye of both her and her close friend, Okemah Hamilton.  As Pat’s children journeyed through school, she was right alongside them as chauffer and class mom.  She was always their number one fan and spent countless hours in the bleachers cheering on the Roosters and Cheer Squads.  As special as her kids were to her, the peach of her eye were her grandchildren.  She was their number one supporter always encouraging them in their lives and activities.

Pat had many, many dear friends, on her journey through life, with so many passing before her.  She now joins the most special of those, aunt Joan Manda.  She leaves another one of her most special friends, Aunt Ruthie Franklin, to help carry on her memory.  Our family has been eternally blessed by all those friendships.

She was an active member of the Pleasant Hill 1st Presbyterian Church serving in numerous capacities including Deacon and Elder.  She was also a former member of the P.E.O. Chapter D.S., Pleasant Hill, and the Pleasant Hill Booster Club.  She enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her family.

Pat was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Miriam Page

Pat is survived by three children. Doug (and Diane) Sudhoff of Lake Waukomis, Missouri, Terry (and Patty) Sudhoff of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Linda (and Robin) Clark of Pleasant Hill; seven grandchildren, Katie Sudhoff (and Jon Margolick) of Washington D.C., Ryan Sudhoff of Dallas, Texas, B.J. Sudhoff of Los Angeles, California, Kyle (and Angelica) Sudhoff of Bronx, New York, Corey (and Addie) Sudhoff of Rolla, Missouri, Casey Sudhoff of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jessie (and Ted) Fleming of Holden, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Tristen Fleming, Ethan Fleming, and Kyra Fleming; other relatives and friends.

Per Pat’s request private family graveside services were held in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Dr. Reverend Andrew Florio officiated.  Casket bearers were Kyle Sudhoff, Corey Sudhoff, Casey Sudhoff, and Mike Hamilton.  Honorary casket bearers were Katie Sudhoff, Ryan Sudhoff, and B.J. Sudhoff.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Meals on Wheels or Crossroads Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
