Paul E. McDavitt

Paul Eugene McDavitt, 60, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri was born April 5, 1966, in Kansas City, the son of Eugene Earl and Linda Joyce (Tinoco) McDavitt. He left this world peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2026, at his home surrounded with love and family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Paul was the oldest of the four boys. The family lived in Kansas City before moving to Pleasant Hill when he was seven years old. Growing up he enjoyed riding his dirt bike, playing with friends, and going on adventures with his brothers. He was a 1984 graduate of Pleasant Hill High School.

Paul started his working career at Vanguard Packaging. From there he worked as an electrician for Eldecon Electrical, later Teague Electric, and finally at Blue Ribbon Electric. After obtaining his CDL, Paul worked for Deffenbaugh for 3 years and for the last 13 years he drove for Rivers Edge Scrap Management.

The most important job Paul had in his life was being a dad. He was blessed with two daughters, Amanda and Nicolette. On April 16, 2016, he was united in marriage to Diana Snow. Through this union he had the privilege of gaining two additional daughters, Delaney and Hailee. Paul loved his wife and all his girls more than words could express.

Paul gave his life to Christ and was an active member of The Church of Christ at 85th and Euclid in Kansas City. In his free time, Paul enjoyed going to car shows, watching "The Highwaymen", tinkering in his garage, decorating his yard for the holidays, spoiling his grandchildren, spending time with family, and going on walks with his pup, Louie. He will be remembered for his kindness to others, dedication to his faith, love for his family, and being a genuinely good man.

Paul's memory will be carried on by his beloved wife, Diana McDavitt of the home; four daughters, Amanda (and Brian) O'Conner of Kansas City, Missouri, Nicolette (and Jordan) Crofut of Port Orchard, Washington, Delaney (and Hayden) Kramer of Orlando, Florida, and Hailee (and Jackson) Kramer of Lee's Summit, Missouri; his grandchildren, Emmalynn, Maximus, Matthius, and Everett; his mother, Linda McDavitt of Pleasant Hill; his brothers, Joseph McDavitt of Key West, Florida, Jason McDavitt of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, and Christopher (and Kelli) McDavitt of Pleasant Hill; his nephew, Lane and nieces, Brinley, Charleigh, and Paislee; along with many other beloved family, his church congregation, and a lifetime of great friends. Paul was reunited in heaven with his father, Eugene McDavitt, father-in-law, Samuel Wayne Snow, and sister-in-law, Hong McDavitt.

Visitation was held Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the funeral home. Elder Mike Criswell officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jordan Crofut, Jason McDavitt, Chris McDavitt, Joseph McDavitt, Lane McDavitt, Brian O’Conner, Max O’Conner, and Chris Cleveland. Honorary casket bearers were Ike Snow, Brian Ward, Randy Easley, Everett Crofut, Matthius O’Conner, Jackson Small, and Hayden Smith.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Lukes Foundation in Support of the Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute Pancreatic Cancer Program and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
