RANDY D. COX

Randy Devon Cox, 65, of Greenwood, formerly of Pleasant Hill, was born May 12, 1954, in Fort Scott, Kansas, the son of John Devon and Irene Sally (Purviance) Cox. He departed this life, Friday, July 19, 2019, at his home.

Randy was a 1973 Oak Grove High School graduate.

On May 25, 1973, he was united in marriage to Carol Kay Chaffee in Oak Grove.  She preceded him in death on June 13, 2018.

Randy was employed as a welder for Armco Steel.  He also rehabbed properties, sold real estate as well as automobiles. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Randy was also preceded in death by his father and one sister, Connie Cox.

He is survived by two sons, Jim (and Leah) Cox of Pleasant Hill, and Joseph (and Jennifer) Cox of Shawnee, Kansas; one granddaughter, Poppy Cox of Shawnee; his mother, Irene Cox of Warsaw, Missouri; his brother, Gary (and Barbara) Cox of Warsaw; other relatives and friends.

Per Randy’s wishes cremation has been accorded. No services are scheduled
