Robert Ewing “Bob” Brannock, 94, of Medford, Oregon, formerly of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born April 18, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Lee Dunlap and Merle Jean (Coss) Brannock. He departed this life Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at the Avamere Health Center of Rogue Valley in Medford with his son Jesse by his side.
Bob was a 1946 Pleasant Hill High School graduate. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
On April 1, 1950, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Ann Ludwig in Bentonville, Arkansas; she preceded him in death in early 2009. On August 9, 2010, he was united in marriage to Lena Faye (Yadon) Knox in Pleasant Hill; she preceded him in death on February 17, 2017.
Bob was employed as a Route Salesman for Canteen Vending in San Jose, California. He later worked ten years for the United States Postal Service. While working for Canteen he was a member of the Vending Teamsters Local #853. He was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill and the Butte Creek Baptist Church Eagle Point, Oregon. He enjoyed being in the outdoors and was an avid reader.
Bob was also preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Lee Brannock, Jr., H. Douglas Brannock, and William “Bill” Brannock; and one sister, Jean M. Flannery.
He is survived by two sons, Robert L. Brannock of Pasadena, California, and Jesse P. (and Sharstin) Brannock of Eagle Point, Oregon; one grandson, Evan Brannock of Medford; one niece Barbara (and David) Brown of Pleasant Hill; other relatives and friends.
Cremation has been accorded. Inurnment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
