Robert Haunschild

Robert L. Haunschild, 61, of Presto, Pennsylvania, was born on Saturday, December 17, 1949 in Columbia, Missouri the son of Robert L. and Billie Jean (Gunn) Haunschild. He departed this life at 6:50 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2011, at the Family Hospice & Pallative Care Center in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Bob fought a courageous battle with lung cancer even though he never smoked.

He was an Eagle Scout and loved the outdoors especially the mountains. Bob graduated from the University of Kansas, was a partner with Ernst and Young and was the CFO with PNC Bank until 2000.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert L. Haunschild in 1996.

Bob was the husband for 7 glorious years of Christine (Meyer-Piatt) Haunschild; loving father of Amy Madsen (and Chris) of Wichita, Kansas and Laura Haunschild (and Sebastian Bachmann) of Cincinnati, Ohio; son of Billie Jean Haunschild of Belton, Missouri; brother of Carol Hayes (and Greg) and Paul Haunschild (and Maria) all of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; grandfather of Mallory, Walter, Mick, Karl and Markus Louis; uncle of Nicholle, Richelle, Jason (and Traci) and the late Michelle; dear son-in-law of Evelyn Meyer.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 16 at the David J. Henney Funeral Home in Library, Pennsylvania. Funeral service were held Thursday, November 17, at the Ruthfred Lutheran Church.

Services were held Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the funeral home.

Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
