Robin L. Altis

Strasburg

Robin Lee Altis, 64, of Strasburg, was born July 25, 1959, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Robert E. and Doris M. (Hallauer) Musick.  She departed this life Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

Robin was a 1977 Southwest High School graduate.

On February 16, 1985, she was united in marriage to LeRoy W. Altis in Kansas City.

Robin was employed as a Data Entry Clerk and Trainer for the Internal Revenue Service for over 30 years, retiring in 2017. Following retirement, she worked at Walmart in Raytown and later in Harrisonville. For the last couple of years, she was employed as the City Clerk in Strasburg.  She was a member of the Swiss Ladies Society, the Cowboy Single Action Shooting Society, and the Raytown Pharoah’s Car Club.  She enjoyed hunting, recreationally shooting at the long-range shooting club, attending car shows, traveling, going on cruises, and her favorite holiday was Halloween.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy of Strasburg; four children, Jessica M. (and Greg) Massman of Lee’s Summit, Kenneth D. (and Stacy Hill) Altis of Strasburg, Cheryl M. (and Scott) Dickey of Wellington, and Richard A. (and Dawn) Altis of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, Paige Hill, Mark Dickey, Devin Massman, Katelyn Dickey, Gabriella Massman, Alexander Altis, Wyatt Altis, and Sadie Altis; two great grandchildren, Zander and Lillianna; three siblings, Cynthia (and Jeff) Bell of Grain Valley, Cathryn Chase of Independence, and Shane (and Mary) Musick of Kansas City; other relatives and a host of many friends.

Visitation was held 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the funeral home.

Following visitation, a celebration of Robin’s life was held 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Brick & Mirth in historic downtown Pleasant Hill.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Animal Clinic or the Lupus Foundation of America – Heartland and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
