Rosemary McGinness

September 20, 1950 — May 4, 2019


Rosemary McGinness, 68, of Kansas City, Missouri, was born, September 20, 1950, in Kingsville, Missouri, the daughter of William S. and Esther L. (Davidson) Allee.  She departed this life, Saturday, May 4, 2019, at the Kansas City Hospice House surrounded with love and family.

Rosemary attended Kingsville High School.

On June 30, 1977, she was united in marriage to Augustine “Gus” Andres, in Kansas City.

Rosemary was employed as a waitress in several Kansas City area restaurants.  She most recently worked at the Pioneer Café in Independence.  Rosemary enjoyed drinking coffee, crafting, shopping for bargains at garage sales and thrift stores, boating, interior decorating, and spending time with family; especially around their family bonfires.  She was of the Assembly of God faith.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers, Bud Ayler, Robert “Short” Allee, Roy Allee, Dale Allee, and Marvin Allee; and one sister Doris Richardson.

She is survived by three son’s Bill Fleener of Kansas City, Larry (and Kimberly) Andres of Liberty, Kevin (and Bobbi) Cross of Buckner; one daughter, Melinda Stodgell of Kansas City; one step-daughter, Andrea (and Ken) Schultz of Memphis, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren, Meghann, Lauren, Taylor, Levi, Amanda, Tori, Ashley, Travis, Brandon, and Austin; 4 great grandchildren, Cordelia, Melody, Kinsley, and Xavier; 2 brothers,  Lee Allee of Kingsville, and Leroy “Punk”  Allee of Lexington; one sister, Edith Vermillion of Hope, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, May 9, 2019, at the Kingsville Cemetery, Kingsville, Missouri.  Pastor Lee Mansell officiated.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
