Sandra Dinges

Sandra Kay Knorpp Dinges, 66, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Wednesday, March 26, 1947, in Stockton, Missouri, the first child of William "Jack" and Barbara (DeLozier) Angle. She departed this life at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Sandy graduated from Butler High School in 1965, and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia.

On June 24, 1966, she was united in marriage to James Chester Knorpp II in Butler, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1993. On June 26, 2001, she was united in marriage to Michael W. Dinges at Powell Gardens in Kingsville, Missouri.

Sandy worked as a secretary for the Cass County Prosecutor, was a substitute teacher, and owned and operated Pleasant Hill Feeds. She was an accomplished homemaker, decorator, calligrapher and gardener. She also enjoyed photography, cooking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, P.E.O. Chapter D.S. and the First Presbyterian Church, all of Pleasant Hill. She had also served on the Pleasant Hill Parks Board for several years.

She was also preceded in death by her father Jack Angle.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Angle of Clinton, Missouri; her husband, Mike Dinges of the home; her daughter, Rhonda (and Tom) Rogge of Kansas City, Missouri; two step-children, Todd (and Samantha) Dinges and Patrice (and Kenny) Adams , both of Pleasant Hill; nine grandchildren, Stephen, Spencer, Trisha, Johnnie, Renae, Macee, Kristen, James, and Hayden; one brother, Stephen W. (Denna) Angle of Warrensburg, Missouri; one sister, Deborah (and Gary ) Taylor, of Phoenix, Arizona; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and a host of many friends.

Visitation was held Monday evening at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at the funeral home. Pastor Sarah Ross minister of the First Presbyterian Church, Pleasant Hill officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Spencer Adams, Bill Angle, Johnnie Berry, Clint Dinges, Troy Dinges, Joel Rogge, Marty Taylor, and Lee Willerton.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
