Shirley J. Osborn

Shirley Jean Osborn, 84, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born October 11, 1939, in Pittsville, Missouri, the daughter of James A. and Goldia M. (Brown) Davis. She departed this life Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Shirley grew up in Clinton, Missouri, attending school at Clinton and finishing in Urich. 

On March 23, 1957, she was united in marriage to Glen R. Osborn in Clinton.

Shirley was a Homemaker.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, working in her yard, and watching golf.  She had several collections including Precious Moments, Record Albums, and Beanie Babies.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ethel A. Laffoon.

She is survived by her husband Glen of Pleasant Hill; her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Nancy Osborn of Blue Springs; other relatives and friends.

Visitation and funeral services were held Monday, October 16, 2023, at the funeral home.  Chaplain Harold Dinsmore officiated.  Interment was in the Pittsville Cemetery.  Casket bearers were Jeffrey Osborn, Daniel Osborn, D.J. Osborn, Jeff Simms, Mark Osborn, and Jase Jones.   

Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
