Thomas H. Hall

Thomas Howard Hall, 63, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, August 31, 2026. Tom was born June 18, 1963, in Webb City, Missouri, to Howard Bronc and Carol Sue (Cartwright) Hall.

Tom graduated from Grandview High School in 1981 and earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1987. On July 1, 1992, he married Brenda Jo Myers in Kansas City. Together they raised their three children, Ashley, Matthew, and Nathan.

Tom was a mechanical engineer and the proud owner of Diamond Contracting Inc., which he started in 1996. A member of Asbestos Workers Union Local #27, he worked across the country on hospitals, schools, government facilities, and commercial buildings. He worked hard and took great pride in his business.

Anyone who knew Tom knew he loved the Chiefs, Mizzou, baseball, bowling, traveling, and trivia. More than anything, he loved his family.

He was the kind of dad who showed up for all three of his kids. He was so proud of his daughter Ashley and of the family she and Todd created, of the man his son Nathan grew into, and of watching his son Matt play baseball all over the world. If it mattered to his kids, it mattered to him.

That same love carried into being Pops. His grandchildren, Brody, Barrett, Bailey, and Berkley Hertzog, meant the world to him. He rarely missed a game or activity, and being their biggest fan was one of the greatest joys of his life.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Carol; his first wife, Lisa Davies; and his siblings, Theresa, Nina, and Jenny.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda of Lee’s Summit; children Ashley (Todd) Hertzog and Matthew (Lauren) Hall of Greenwood, and Nathan Hall of Lee’s Summit; grandchildren Brody, Barrett, Bailey, and Berkley Hertzog; brother James (Nan) Moore; nephew Johnny Blake; niece Krissie (Ryan) Ament; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jason Shipley will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lee’s Summit West High School Baseball Program and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
